About Me

Right then, well what do we say here…

I suppose I should go on about how I picked up a camera at the age of sixth months and that I can’t live without taking a photo every minute of every day, and use lots of words like stunning, amazing and gorgeous to describe me and my work. But that’s not really me.

Hopefully you can see from the gallery and real weddings on the blog that I do love to photograph people and I particularly love to share in the joy of people’s wedding days. But this page is “About Me”. So here goes.
I’m a Yorkshireman. Born and bred. I grew up in a little town between Huddersfield and Leeds called Mirfield, I went to University in Manchester and even lived in Fiji for a year (I know, get me!) but Mirfield has always been my home. I live there now with my amazing wife Anna, our beautiful little boy Daniel and our two dogs Harvey and Milo.
Here’s a pic from my wedding day.

Awww, what a day. You may have spotted that Anna is a little taller than me (she’s only wearing tiny little heals too). She’s a teacher and the most amazing woman I’ve ever met.

Here’s my boy. Daniel.

My Baby boy

My pride and joy. I know it’s a cliche but nothing really prepares you for this. He’s one now, can’t believe it, and such a good boy.

Here’s Harvey and Milo.My dogs
That’s Harvey on the left, he has a “Mr Darcy” thing going on, and possibly the most handsome dog you’re likely to meet. Bit stoopid though. Milo is cuteness personified and the cuddleiest (that’s not a word is it?) dog I’ve ever know. It’s like having a shadow most of the time. He can be a little monkey sometimes though! They are both rescue dogs, Milo in particular had a very sad first sixth months and was mistreated.
Anyway I hope all that was vaguely interesting, please get in touch if you’d like to chat more about weddings, or dogs or cake, hmmmmm cake.

Oh yeah, and I have a bit of a thing for Tori Amos, chocolate and donut machines. Not necessarily together ;-)
